| We had a great time
at the Beaver Creek Shootout. Though the group was smaller than expected,
it added to the enjoyment of getting to know each other better. I heard
many comment that it was on of the most enjoyable shoots they had ever
attended. Thanks to everyone who so generously gave of their time and resources
to make this a truly memorable event. We are looking forward to doing it
again!

The
Fast and Furious
vs The Deadeyes Analyzing the Two Styles: First, the distances and sizes of the target between the two styles were not drastically different. Basically, the Deadeye stages had one rifle target that was set at 40 to 45 yards. One stage was overall farther away, but it did have rather large targets. It was interesting to note the "yee-ha's" when that one long target was "dinged." It was clear that people like a challenging target here and there, as long as there are plenty of easy ones. The other difference between the two styles
of stages was target separation. The Fast and Furious stages had more closely
spaced targets with dumps, double taps, and triple taps. The Deadeye stages
required wider swings with the firearm without placing more than one round
at a time on any one target.

Total Match Misses/ Fast and Furious Stages*:
Keeping in mind that we had a low number
of shooters, the numbers above, show a definite difference between the
two styles as it relates speed and misses.
