Water
Water is supplied
by Poweshiek Water Association, 125 Industrial Dr., Brooklyn, IA 52211.
Phone: (641) 522-7416. Water Mains have been installed to each lot
along Heritage Drive.
Electric
Electric is provided
by TIP Rural Electric Cooperative (http://www.tiprec.com).
The main office is located at: 612 W. Des Moines St., Brooklyn, Iowa, Phone:
(641)-522-9221. Primary Electric lines are provided to each lot and
are located in referral boxes.* Lot owners are responsible for the installation
of secondary services.
Natural Gas
Natural gas is currently
unavailable to this area. Homes are heated by propane or electric. TIP
Rural Electric has some great rebate programs for those who use electric
heat.
Sanitary Sewer Systems
Home owners are
responsible to install their own septic systems.
* Referral Boxes contain primary lines and no transformers. Meter bases
may be installed at the referral box from which secondary power lines may
be run to structures. However, secondary lines are limited in distance.
The referral box therefore provides versatility, allowing the home owner
to extend primary lines anywhere on the lot, from which secondary lines
