BASIC RULES
Period correct rifles
– two divisions:

Scoped Division
-
Open Sight Division
Bullets:
Scopes:

Tube has to be ¾ inch,
with external Malcolm style mounts.
Targets:
-
Chickens: Fired off
hand – both hands must be forward of pistol grip.

Pigs, turkeys, rams:
fire from any position and cross sticks may be used.
At each stage:
-
You will have a bank of 10
targets.
-
You have 12 minutes and 30
seconds for: sighters at the "dinger" target on the left
side of the ten targets, cleaning, & shooting the ten targets.

You can clean rifle as needed
during your time.

Each shooter will have a
count down timer for a visual aid and a grid for your spotter to show you
your hits.

All targets are shot left
– right
-
Targets will be set 5 facing
left, 5 facing right

You must shoot one shot at
each target.

Scorer and spotter will help
you keep track of where you are, if you ask.

If you shoot the wrong
target, it is considered a miss.

No sighters are allowed once
you start shooting targets.
There are many rules
in the NRA Book so if there is a question, ask for clarification.
