This shoot is designed for variety and fun!  All dress will be pre 1899!
SHOOT SET UP: 7 scenarios

Thursday & Friday - .22 Creedmore, Skunk Off hand & .22 Silhouette
Saturday & Sunday – Prairie Dogs, 2 Buffalo herds & Mid-Long Range

Check in each day at 8am.  Shooting begins at 8:30 
Sunday shooting begins at 8am. 
Shooters will be assigned to a posse. 
Shooters will be notified by mail telling where and when you will begin shooting.
Plan for about half a day for each stage. 

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!!!  DUE JULY 10!!

PRICE:  $65.00 for whole shoot    or    $10.00 for each stage

Scenarios
   1.  .22 Creedmore Shoot   333 yards  20 shots   15 minutes    Shoot from bench rest.  Target is 2 foot square with an 11 inch round cut out bull’s eye that swings when hit.
         1 point if hit target, 2 points if hit swinger

    2.  Skunk Off Hand  Shoot 150 yards  15 shots  15 minutes  Center Fire Rifle

    3.  .22 Silhouette  Shoot   10 targets each of chickens at 40 meters, pigs at 60 meters, turkeys at 80 meters, rams at 100 meters.  Each bank of targets has a larger dinger target for sight ins.  You can shoot as many sight ins as you want but you have 12 1/2 minutes to shoot targets and sighters.  The chickens are the only targets shot off  hand but sighters are from a bench rest.  All other targets must use cross sticks. (no prone)  NCOWS have allowed any .22 rifle or modern scope.  There will be .22 rifles available to use.

4. 25 Prairie Dog Shoot   100-135 yards  10 minutes  25 shots  Everyone will use shooting bench with rifle rest  Each dog is sitting on the ground and 12 inches tall and 5 inches wide  One shot at each dog – must be a direct hit to count  You may use any  Center Fire Rifle.

5.  25 Buffalo Shoot    150-250 yards  10 minutes  25 rounds  Only knock downs count.  Spotters CANNOT use spotting scopes or binoculars.

6. 50 Buffalo Shoot   150-250 yards  10 minutes  Unlimited rounds  Knock down as many as you can.  May use a 2nd rifle.  Only knock downs count  -  NO spotters or assistance!!

   7.  Mid-Long Range Shoot   200,300,400,550,700 yard animal targets  5 shots each target  15 minutes for 25 shots  All will shoot from an adjustable bench rest at the same location for all targets.
 

Misc. Details

  • Check each scenario so you know how much ammo to bring and what guns you will need.  Have your sight settings before you arrive or come a day early to sight in. 
  • Aggregate, match and division  awards will be presented  Sunday afternoon after  picking up targets and equipment. To qualify for an award you must use pre 1899 guns (not .22s) and dress period correct.
  • Clay birds will be available on Thursday and Friday and any evening so bring your shotgun. 
  • Stationary buffalo are available for free time plinking  with .22 rifles and pistol cal. rifles.
